Terms of Business
Last updated: July 2026
1. Who we are
Priority Skips ("we", "us", "Priority Skips") operates priorityskips.co.uk, a booking platform that connects customers with independent, licensed local skip hire companies ("Skip Companies").
2. We act as a booking agent, not the supplier
Priority Skips is a booking agent and intermediary. We are not a waste carrier and we do not ourselves supply, deliver, or collect skips. The skip hire service you book is supplied by the Skip Company assigned to your booking, and the contract for that service is between you and the Skip Company — not between you and Priority Skips.
Where a Skip Company is already confirmed for your town at the time you book, we will tell you their name before you pay. Where no Skip Company has yet been confirmed for your town, you are booking and paying as our principal for the service of a licensed local Skip Company to be confirmed on your behalf, normally within 3 business days. If we are unable to confirm a Skip Company within that time, we will refund your payment in full.
3. Payment and commission
We collect payment from you as agent for the Skip Company and retain an agreed commission from the amount paid, remitting the balance to the Skip Company once your booking is fulfilled.
4. The Skip Company's responsibilities
The Skip Company assigned to your booking is responsible for delivering and collecting the skip, for the overall performance of the service, and for holding a valid waste carrier licence. Where a skip is to be placed on a public road rather than private land, obtaining any required council permit is the Skip Company's responsibility unless otherwise agreed with you directly.
5. Complaints and liability
If something goes wrong with the delivery, collection, or condition of your skip, please contact us first and we will help put you in touch with the Skip Company and facilitate a resolution. Because the Skip Company supplies the service, Priority Skips is not liable for their acts or omissions, but we will act reasonably and promptly to help resolve any issue you raise with us.
6. Refunds and cancellations
If you wish to cancel or amend a booking, contact us as soon as possible at support@priorityskips.co.uk. The following applies:
- Cancelled more than 48 hours before the scheduled delivery: full refund
- Cancelled within 48 hours of scheduled delivery: a cancellation fee may apply, to cover costs already incurred by the Skip Company [insert fee]
- Cancelled after the skip has been delivered: no refund of the hire fee, though a partial refund may be possible if collection has not yet occurred and you notify us promptly — this is at the Skip Company's discretion
If you are a consumer booking from home, you may have a legal right to cancel within 14 days under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, unless the Skip Company has already begun performing the service with your agreement (e.g. delivered the skip), in which case this right may not apply or may be reduced proportionately.
If the Skip Company fails to deliver your skip on the agreed date through no fault of your own, you are entitled to a full refund or a re-arranged delivery. If the skip delivered is significantly different from what you ordered (wrong size, damaged, unsafe), contact us within 24 hours of delivery and we will work with the Skip Company to arrange a replacement or refund as appropriate.
Where a refund is due, we will process it on behalf of the Skip Company back to your original payment method within 5–10 working days of the refund being agreed.
7. Our liability
Because the contract for skip hire is between you and the Skip Company, we are not liable for the Skip Company's failure to deliver, collect, or perform the hire service, damage caused by the Skip Company or the skip, or any waste, environmental, licensing, or permit non-compliance by the Skip Company. Our liability is limited to our role in taking your booking and payment accurately and passing it to the Skip Company. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot be excluded under UK law.
8. Data protection
We process your personal data in order to make your booking and pass it to the relevant Skip Company. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
9. Contact us
Questions about these terms or an existing booking can be sent to support@priorityskips.co.uk.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
These terms govern the booking and skip hire itself. Use of the website is separately governed by our Website Terms of Use. See also our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.
